Compared to normal cruising sailboats, the Class 40 is a lean, mean speed machine. Class 40 monohulls are high-performance racing boats, designed principally for single-handed or double-handed offshore competition. Now with more than 160 boats, Class 40 has become the most successful offshore racing class.

This boat, Lord Jiminy, is Hull #119, built in France in 2012 and used in various Class 40 races. In 2014, she placed third in the Route de Rhum, one of the most prestigious and competitive single-handed Transatlantic races.

Lord Jiminy will be participating in the 2025 Melbourne Osaka Cup, a double-handed race so challenging that it is often referred to as the "Yachties Everest." The race transits seven different weather systems and is the only long-distance north-south race in the world.

Lord Jiminy expects to arrive in Osaka in mid-April, at which point she will be put up for sale.
